Cosmic Crazy Bowl Is Crazy PHun for a Great Cause
Parrot Heads of the Riverbend went Crazy Bowling for the Bethalto Boys and Girls Club. Many members from the Club participated by bowling, donating baskets for drop ticket events, working the registration booth, and decorating. Some members brought guests and the Boys and Girls Club participated along with some of their guests. Fun was had by all. The event could have used more bowlers, but hopefully next time we can have more participation from all corners. The staff of Airport Plaza Bowl did a great job in preparing and hosting our event. They even dressed up in Tropical attire to represent our efforts for the night. The figure was not official yet as to money raised, but it was over $ 800 raised for the Boys and Girls of Bethalto. Thank you to all which participated in this fun event.

Parrot Heads Ring Bells!
Spirits were high and bells were ringing as the Parrot Heads of the Riverbend PHlocked to Schnuck's in Godfrey to help the Salvation Army.
Aside from “Ho, ho, ho!” and several songs by Perry Como, perhaps no other sound says Christmas more than the ring of a Salvation Army bell.
The red kettle has been an American icon for 125 years. From Thanksgiving to Christmas Eve, the ubiquitous buckets can be found outside thousands of storefronts in small towns and big cities across the country.

Co-sponsored by Pride, Inc., The Telegraph and Brod-Dugan/Sherwin Williams has been painting homes for area residents since 1988. The program matches volunteer teams with homeowners who are no longer able to maintain their homes without assistance. In order to qualify for the program, homes must be one-story, owner occupied residences. Most of the homeowners that benefit from this program are seniors who simply cannot handle such a huge job alone. Other recipients are those with physical or financial limitations that prevent them from doing the work. Volunteer teams complete the painting at no cost to the homeowner.
